I had a Happy Birthday!

I was so blessed by all of my family and friends. And I am still being blessed days after my birthday. Thank you.Precious babies! Check out the new hair styles. Mom does a great job.

What a happy surprise! What a special birthday! What a great family! I loved everything. And I missed James Reed. Thank you Kat for driving a long way and taking a day off from work and Su for making me a scrumptious cake, and Papa for making us all spaghetti, and Jimmy for changing ............. Oh, I mean for picking out such pretty flowers. I know I didn't mention everything but every thoughtful gift and card and word and smile meant alot to me.

There, I did it. The blog is back where I wanted it. I need to get myself some dinner and coffee for tomorrow! And get back to the grind. I'm going to work tonight.

I was looking at Warm Pie, Happy Home and I saw a beauliful wreath in the kitchen there. I've always thought about a wreath with old cookie cutters and kitchen things on it but have never gotten around to making one. So I found a wreath in my wreath stash, removed everything but the red Poinsetta, added a few things from the kitchem and Christmas box and here it is "my Christmas kitchen wreath."

When I was in Hawaii last January I saw leis made from eyelash yarn. I bought some yarn when I got back home but never tried to make one. I thought of it the other day. I was going to "Gooogle it" to see if there were instructions. Well, I could never remember it when I was near a computer. Finally, yesterday I saw a friend (who was from Hawaii) and I remembered. I wrote it down then checked last night. You use a straw to make it!! So I stayed up past my bedtime and made one. I'm not very good at posting yet so the link came first. We had a great day and found beautiful trees, 6 of them to be exact. We drove to the National Forest to cut our Christmas tree with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. The forecast was for rain but instead we were blessed with snow, nice dry snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......
